This post is part of our 'Behind the Beans' series, offering an inside look at how we create our books, what inspires us, and the mission behind Human Bean Books!
At Human Bean Books, our journey began with a spark of inspiration and a heart full of love. Today, we're excited to share the story behind our very first book, The Light of Love.
Imagine a moment of quiet introspection, amidst the hustle and bustle of daily life. That was the setting when the idea for our debut book first took root. Engaged in daily meditation practice, the desire to share the profound lessons learned during those serene moments became irresistible.
The Light of Love was a heartfelt birthday gift for my very first niece on her very first birthday. I felt a surge of creativity one evening. With a pen in hand and a vision in my mind, I embarked on a journey to both write and illustrate a story that would capture the essence of love, joy, and wonder.
As the night unfolded, the creative energy flowed effortlessly, carrying me into a realm of pure magic. By the end of a long evening, a draft of The Light of Love lay before me, a testament to the power of inspiration and dedication.
Eager to share this labor of love, I wasted no time in getting the book printed and sent off to my niece. The process of creating The Light of Love was nothing short of enchanting. Immersed in a state of creative flow, I found myself reluctant to halt the journey. It was during this experience that the seeds of Human Bean Books were sown.
From that moment onward, our mission became clear: to cultivate stories that inspire, uplift, and bring joy to readers of all ages. The Light of Love not only marked the beginning of our publishing journey but also encapsulated the essence of our mission – to help young minds develop healthy inner voices through the power of storytelling.
Join us at Human Bean Books as we continue to embark on this extraordinary adventure, one story at a time. Let the light of love guide you through the pages of our books, and may you find inspiration and wonder in every word.
Love, Courtney
